JPMA's POS Software Hits The U.S. Market
JPMA is one of very few unique American companies that actually started internationally and only now seeks to make an impact here in the United States. Today we have installations in:
- Greater than 40 countries.
- More than 15 languages.
- Stores of every size and shape. Grocery stores, shoe shops, department stores, hardware and apparel shops, and even in gas stations and lunchrooms!
As we now turn our attention to the U.S. market we are often faced with the question, "if you're so good how come you don't have a greater presence in this country?"
- We could respond that most U.S. retailers say that they want independent software, but unfortunately, want to buy it from a very large and traditional vendor.
- We could remind US retailers that most other countries are ahead of them in that regard.
- We could point out that JPMA software is hardware independent. Vendors have not been keen on partnering with a software group that is portable to the competition's hardware.
- We could respond that the very last thing any hardware guy wants to do is tell a retailer that hardware is a commodity … even though it is.
The truth is, that we've been really busy doing what we feel is pretty good stuff and just never pursued the U.S. market like we should have done. For this we are sorry, but we plan to set this right.
